The Yeep? It's road worthy right now. Now, I'm waiting on the ADS GB and my gussetted spindles that look like they'll never be ready...

Anyone that has sliders that aren't powdercoated, what did you use and how is it holding up?

My sliders are about 5 or 6 years old, and the powdercoat is flaking off with lots of rust under it. I'm going to pull them off eventually and grind them down and sand blast them. I've heard good things about POR15 but I've never used it. Might just rattle can them, but looking for feedback.

    Thanks

Used POR the first time and was disappointed. Primer and VHT chassis black is all I use now. Really easy to touch up and a pretty hard finish.

Spent all day taking off my brothers decals and washing his truck and then made these fillers for the holes. My brother also painted his mirrors a kind of graphite color. Didnt make any progress on the bumper unfortunately, still debating whether I should cut it 2" or 1.5"

The fillers look good. Plan on keeping the flares off then?
    But.
Why would you remove the decals from your brother's truck? I miss decals. I wish they would become a thing again.

Por15 with topcoat of spray paint... needs a touch up now but held up for 3years

Por doesn't like sunlight so you have to top coat it otherwise it gets hazy

I like decals too, just not these decals lol, they were cool for about a week, he just didnt want em anymore. still not sure about the flares, Im gonna keep em off for a couple weeks and see what I think, theres lines where the flares used to hit the body which aren't pretty, so not sure..

But they are so 90s! I can totally dig when a vehicle has very distinctive features. I guess I see why someone wouldn't like those cheesy decals though.
Well you could always do what Tim @HolyHandGrenade did. He painted the fenders essentially where the flares would sit, I believe.
