    Yes the drain valve on the bottom. And going by my maintenance guide it mentions the Coolant it at 36 months. I also like to stay ahead on all my truck maintenance. Thanks Mike.

    @Kolunatic ,
    Here's my friend's chebby 2 years ago IMG_7253.jpg
    Now ,there's a lift in the garage and it's disassembled even more. As I said, frame is out and the front drums are getting the disc treatment as well as power steering. 402 was in it for years, but the original from the car,396 is going back in. Rubber, seals, fuzzies, fuel/brake lines..all getting replaced.

    Ongoing project...no rush.

    Can't see them good in the pic, but there's tow tabs up front. We used to flat tow to the track back in the day.
    Remember flat towing Mike?

    Nice Car! Back in the early 70's In the small town I grew up in just across the state line from you all the Muscle Cars would wire a toggle switch to the Reverse lights. When cruising into town with the reverse on meant they wanted to Race!

    The closest 1/4 mile track was in Dover NY off Rt22. It was a lot of fun !!!!

    Yup, been to Dover before they closed in '76. Never raced there as i didn't drive yet, lol.
    We used to go to Englishtown, CT Raceway, Lebanon Valley and a couple others.
    Good Times!

    Used to go to Danbury every year to the Dover Reunion. Lots of mothballed drag cars from the 60's and 70's would show up. Couple years ago, that ended as well as they tore down the old Marcus Dairy and put in yet another....strip mall.

    Ok.
    I have never used a socket on the plastic petcock. Don't use it to tighten. Break it free and light finger pressure to close it
    Grab a few gallons of coolant.
    Pull rad cap. Install the fill tool. Drain bucket under.
    Start it up. Coolant should start to rise in the fill tool. Once the thermostat opens, fill the coolant in the tool. Open the drain. As the coolant drains out the fill tool lowers keep the tool full and exchange the coolant. Before the tool empties, close the valve. No air can get in. No burping. You may need to lower the front shield if your not comfortable. Coolant will be hot. Watch out for the fan and drive belt. If done right very little mess. This is how I do it with out our evac system. Never done a 14 yet... Some guys on here go nutso and use water and drain the block or try to. Then you need twice as much coolant because they dilute the system so they need to drain it anyway and refill with pure.
    Just be carefull......
    Not responsible.........
