    Has anyone blacked out the headlights on a 1st Gen Taco? If so, could you do a quick write up on the how-to process? That would be appreciated!

    I had a '99 Xtra Cab PreRunner SR5 V6
    I've never seen it done, but I have seen some aftermarket ones on eBay for sale though.

    ive also never seen it done...as theres not extra plastic like there is in the 2nd gens...its just lens and reflector...

    What if the lense was misted black? would the affect the light quite a bit? Even with HID bulbs? Just throwin out ideas

    probably but i dont know the light output differences between stock and hid...id suspect tinting the lenses would seriously affect light output and could possibly be illegal

    hmmm yeh, thats true. I just hate the stock headlights. There are plenty of options for the taillights, but the headlights are another story...

    i believe anzo makes some headlights as well as tail lights for tacomas

    getting there....
    definitely check out ebay.......they have some very nice black headlights and some sweet clear corners that i am thinking about.
