What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I don't know when the brakes were done last on mine. I bought the truck with 140k, now at 170k and they need the be dealt with bad.

Sweet! My stock stuff squeaked all the time plus it collected tiny rocks all the time. So it'll be nice that it doesn't do that too often.

No you don't. Just get the Wheelers lines and it'll all work out great

 

Good luck with those POS I have had 3 of them split...and spill fuel all over my shit. Beware you have to vent them daily especially in the summer and if you go up or down in elevation or it will collapse. On the bright side if you drill a hole in it and send them a email with a pic they will send you new ones... good luck eitherway I have since scraped them and gone with scepter's.

It's the EPA... and the requirements they hold for the spout and the venting...they have to close so if they tip they don't spill these are just old school and they are from ca. They do have a civilian line in the link below and mill spec can be found at army navy stores or eBay and Amazon...

anyone got part numbers for oem antifreeze and ATF? 97 3.4L 4x4. Oh and fill quantity hearing 4 quarts for ATF without dropping pan but should a gallon of antifreeze work ?

 

Would you say that if I did a vinyl floor that deadening wouldn't be needed under it then?

 

From my research and conversations with Rick (former owner of raamaudio) the most bang for the buck on the floor would be a high quality mass loaded vinyl. If you wanted to go overboard you could couple it with the ensolite (or similar) product to further cut down on higher frequencies.

 

So mass loaded vinyl regardless + vinyl floor since the vinyl floor wouldn't have the same properties that mass loaded vinyl would have, correct? I don't know shit about sound proofing.

 

This is my 2nd brake upgrade, I did not have any problems on my 1st one with the 2000 master cylinder.
