Tried to pass f150 eco boost today

My work truck is a 350 Transit with the eco boost motor. That thing has tons of power and still gets 15 mpg fully loaded.

 

180,000 on my 3.5 eco work truck.

I think the Ranger is going to be pricey. Can't see Ford selling it for a cheap price. They want to protect the sales of the F150.

 

Reminds me too much of a Ridgeline. Not a fan of those lines

Maybe so, but we will not know that for a while. I have already talked to a local Ford dealership and they are going to keep me posted on any info they have. I am number one on the waiting list so as soon as one hits the lot at the end of 2018, I will have real pics and a review, unless smitty beats me to it.

Word is that this is just a mock up/test mule. This may not reflect actual production style.

 

2011. Just basic maintenance, oil changes, brakes, tires. It's a fleet truck, don't think it's ever even had a tune up.

I thought the same thing. Gas Monkey dropped a 120k eco boost in one of their project vehicles. Insane.

 

That's the global ranger body, just like the Tacoma mules we saw for the 16 with 2nd gen body, the interior/exterior will be completely different.

 

I will admit, I can't stand this about the 3rd gen. I have very few complaints but the lack of pickup really blows and is sketchy when trying to pass someone, merge onto the highway, pull out, etc.

 

My sr5 has decent get up and go once it hits 4th gear, takes about 2 or 3 seconds to get through 1,2 and 3 though. I think this simply relates to how we use our truck vs how the f150 is used. We are more likely to use ours off road where the lower gears 1,2 and 3 help us vs having a gearing for a quick 0 to 60 and more top end. More so for towing and carrying over sized loads. I love my truck and would not trade it for a Ford of any kind.
