What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Toyota says 10k, I had to do a break in at 1k. Not required but wanted to for myself. 1

 

was able to just peel mine off, just have to go slow and peel back as opposed to pulling straight up, just a little goo gone for cleanup

Think it cost me $150 for the alarm and another $150 to get installed, if I remember correctly.

Sit inside with alarm on. Rattle your keys. That's how they test glass break sensors in home alarms...

 

I think 3M tape is great. Just with I could rely on it. I personally have had it fail, and have read other accounts of it failing... I do have a history of 'overbuilding' things though.

FYI all the truck emblems are held on by 3M double sided tape... They stay on just fine.

 

Speaking of badges....

Big Star Wars fan. Big storm trooper fan. Bought a white TRD Pro because well... storm trooper. Sourced these letters from some eBay seller and well, the pictures will speak for themselves (I'll replace these with better pics tomorrow when I have better lighting). Needless to say, took a little time to get the spacing and alignment right but I think it turned out great!

 

It's a area were water runs real fast the when it rains. People have been washed away when entering them. Very dangerous to cross.

 

Enclosed semi trailers are assembled with 3m tape double sided tape.

 

Good 3m tape applied correctly is some strong stuff..

 

The only fail I've had was one window Weather Guard. I thought I'd read that tape was 3M. Maybe it wasn't. Maybe it was something else. But I DO know the prep and install was as good as can be. I replaced it with another double sided tape. Maybe I applied 3M tape replacing what was originally Garbage.

 

You paid $40 at the dealer for the bed rail, two bed cleats, and two of those other cleats?

 

Just got unlimited Data for less than I was paying before. Now I can actually start using apps on my truck. Had truck over 4mos and 2500mi. Haven't used one yet!!

Are your tracks Thule? I just ordered a Leer 100XL with only the Thule tracks installed. Wondering if other racks will fit the Thule tracks?
