Bought a welder. And then decided to take apart my CBI swingout because it literally took all 180 lbs of me to open it. After about an hour of fighting, the swingout finally came off the spindle and low and behold rusted and completely dry. So I sanded all the rust and old shit off. Drilled tapped and installed a grease zerk and greased it real good and like magic opens and closes with the push of a finger. Weird CBI didn't install one to begin with. The swingout part has 2 2 inch metal bushing on each end of the cylinder, leaving a gab between them deep enough to install a zerk. So I did. Pretty productive day.

Have you ever measured the decibel level in your cab? After a fair amount of deadening in my truck (I still have a few places I want to put a thicker product) I'm still in the high 60db level at 65 mph. It's definitely quieter that before, but I feel like I can still cut some of the db's out. For reference, I use the sound meter app on my phone, so who knows how accurate it is.

Does anyone know what the db level is stock?

I never have. All I know is the before/after according to my ears. Night and day difference.

    Stuff. Also things.
I'm guessing that hucking with the battery in the stock location has not been kind to his fender.

I don't buy any single item over $600 for the truck, there may come a day but dropping more than that at once on a truck as old as mine better have some super powers.

Front pads replaced (weaver ceramics from Advanced (not going OEM yet got what I needed, Tundra swap in the future)).
A stupid lug nut messed up, probably from my stupidity.

    oh my nut.jpg

Washed, Waxed (S100), Rain-x on the front windshield and mirrors.

Also put in new wipers. I went with Rain-x Latitudes. I had Bosh Icons, they were put in last May not soon after I bought the truck.
They suck. Severely. For at least the last 6 months, they wouldn't wipe clean/clear, like they were not streaking but swaths with bubbles and spots.
That completely sucks on wiper blades less than a year old. Not recommended, unless it is for someone you hate.

Vacuumed the front footwells and put in the not totally fitting correct WeatherTech mats. Because I paid for them, and I have a PreRunner and Toyota couldn't keep the footwell the same on my model. They are still nicer than the OEMs. Maybe I will try using my heatgun to soften it up and mold it better where it doesn't fit (inside back at corner on tranny tunnel).

And a couple weeks ago I removed the brush guard. I still have the mounting brackets attached/protruding. They are
    on there tight.
