I paid less than a 1/4 of what the bumper costs new though. My plan up until I ran across the relentless was to build a bumper as that is my plan for the rear now. The best deals just require patience and the ability to move financially when it comes along. I buy mostly used stuff for the truck.

I was not too stoked adding the extra weight, and i didnt want to sacrifice clearence i have the emu leafs so they should be fine on weight, but i had a hard time finding dual swing outs. Living in the city and surfing I didnt want a huge swing out for getting into the bed of my truck to surf...It seemed like all the ones i saw were for gen two or three...I hate having a spare tire under the bed when wheelin...if I acually blow a tire, getting it will be tough..plus i got rid of my all pro wrap around cause the trailer hitch below the bumper. I like the clearance this offers and I still can tow my jetski for surf...way more than i wanted to spend, but everyone i spoke with it would be custom...so it was gonna be pricey no matter what..sorry man i guess im sensitive haha

    Appreciate the help

Would love to check it out in person

Are you using those lugs on the factory wheels? Those wheels should really only be used with the factory mag shank style lugs.

 I kinda thought you'd say that lol I tend to agree though, I hate spending a lot of money on single items, I don't know how people bring themselves to pay over $1200 on a bumper, I can pretty much buy a cheap used car for that lol

Hahah for sho...not sure about stock bumper weight...this is 105 without the swing out...im guessing with 33" full size spare and water n gass it could be pushing over 165lbs? I have no idea really...i had a frame plate welding for added support. The truck shop did a great job with the welding...the hitch is behind the liscense plate which is on a hinge bracket

Definitely! I noticed that right away too...if you look at the stock bumper the plastic flips up to cover that gap...there is no way to adjust this with the way it bolts on the frame. I will send ya pics of the frame too...its not bad enough to bother me and with the swing out you wont see it

Yep, that is unavoidable for any swing out...otherwise it will block the tailgate or sit out too wide, but I am not a fabricator and could be wrong lol I like to keep traffic guessing anyhow and if they kiss my bumper they will regret it haha

yea thats exactly what I was thinking, that plastic that flips up makes the gap not seem so big with the stock bumper, Im curious if they made that bumper closer to the tailgate or not. Looks good though.
    Thanks man

I spent that much on my rear...was worth it. and 900 on the front...also worth it.

Money well spent..especially considering i could probably sell them for more now

Even the rear bumper i built with parts and..pretty cheap labor id say...was still around $1400..

[IMG]FTnBE?-8.jpg by Monte Nickles Photos, on Flickr

Shit ain't cheap no matter what. And we aren't counting the mods i've done to both bumpers to improve them on my rig. Best bet if you want armor like for cheap that is to wait for someone to sell second hand or DIY.
