We are officially twinsies! Great trucks and you are going to love it. Great ride and that VVTI V8 is awesome. Let me know if you have any questions. Those seat warmers have been super nice lately.

Dammit! Now you tell me. Flatbed was built around those fuckers.

    Flatbed could have been flat...

The V8 is awesome! I can really appreciate your truck and @LTDSC 's minivan even more now.

Do the Tacoma struts fit? My stockers have about 30k miles and can hopefully end up on this rig.

Yeah the V8 really gets going with that torque.

The tundra shares the same front end platform as the 3rd gen 4runner and 1st gen Tacoma. The ucas are different and coilover mounting bolts are clocked differently but same shocks (valving might be different). Rear shocks are the same as 2nd gens though (why I've bought your last two shocks).

    Nice truck, but...

    IMG_6948.PNG.jpg

Not that Toyotas are unreliable at higher miles, but the service costs start to stack up. This is a company vehicle and I'm not going to work on it, so labor costs are a significant factor.

Almost got a 2004 Tundra 4x4 with 86k miles yesterday, but I was 2nd in line and the first guy snagged it. It was priced ridiculously cheap though, which would have justified getting a 4x4.

This truck will end up in the field someday, so the V8 is necessary for light towing. My buddy has the same 2wd truck and consistently gets 21 mpg, which was also a factor.

Unlike at @Gply, @Holloman, @tacomgee, & @younglexx, we're at the tail end of the construction projects and I've only needed 4x4 once in 20 years. Don't get me wrong- I wanted a 4x4. Mostly for personal reasons since my boss would probably let me take it to Tahoe. I'll just have to drive the Tacoma or minivan...

That being said, I didn't put a deposit down or commit to anything. Just need to give the dude an answer by tomorrow. My Craigslistfu isn't strong, so lmk if you see something better!

    Edit: included more operators.

Was good to finally meet @Porter707 in person. Big thumbs up to @Cali007 and @DannyBFresco wrenching it up!

And always a pleasure @tacomgee, good to see the truck moving under its own power (and dirtys).

Looked there, and Autotrader. Filters on, filters off (since people don't fill out CL fields correctly). Has to be access cab or doublecab. No longbed. Has to be white or red. Also under 150k miles. Couldn't find anything. Also, I'd rather have the 1st gen (for now). The 2nd gens Tundys in our fleet consistently get 15 -16 mpg. Even less for the 2 owner's 4x4 2nd gens. After driving full sized trucks for 10 years at the last company, I'm pretty happy with the size of the 1st gen Tundra. Roughly the same as the Tacoma.

Back to Tacomas...for those with CKMTA12's, where did you mount them? Thought about behind the seat, but too much braaaaaap for a sleeping child. Aired up occasionally during nap time.

PS firewall has a battery in an @Iggy mount. That leaves the Slee mount, but I'm concerned with engine heat.

    IMG_6949.PNG.jpg

It could go in the camper, but that would displace the space of something that's potentially very useful. Like a 12v Panini press...

Anyone possibly have a driver front fender flare laying around they aren't using?
Preferably silver sky metallic, but will take any. As long as all the mounting tabs are in good shape

    Let me know. Thanks!

You guys will all have cheese wedge/ door stop popup campers. It's part of @Iggy's master plan.
