Truck looks awesome man! Loving the U bolt flip kit! Looking to redo my rear suspension soon. Not too happy with where it's at right now for my intended use.

Thanks! The rear suspension has definitely been something that I've though over a lot, all I need is some Timbren bumps and it's pretty much done....for now :stirthepot:

I barely have time to get these bolt-ons installed. A new leaf pack setup might be enough for now.
    You first! Haha!

Can't wait to see this! What are you running now?

I have a set of Timbren bump stops here in my living room. Going to be returning them though. the $200+ I spent on them can go towards my new setup instead. If I were consistently carrying a heavier load on this truck, I'd keep them. Plus, I'll need the type that bolt on to the u bolt flip kit plate.

Get back to me in 10 to 15 years :anonymous:

For your application, Timbren is a bit much. You'd be better off with a set of super bumps from Wheelers. I plan on maybe building an expo trailer one day, so I'm more or less prepping for the future, I guess.

That's what I'm leaning towards. Wheeler's 8 leaf pack, Toytec/All Pro U bolt flip kit, Wheelers superbumps. That should do it.

Figured my next ride will be the overland/expo type of build (wife and I are thinking of getting into a 4runner later this year). I just don't have enough interior cabin space in this one or the time to be out there for more than 3-5 days at a time. So I'm looking to build it more for fun on the weekends while still being able to do truck stuff (like hauling junk every once in a while).

Expo trailer? That's going to be sick!

4Runner would make an awesome rig! My brother has a 4th gen and I'm slightly jealous of all the room he has inside, but it lacks a V8 so I'm not too jealous :p

Expo trailer will happen whenever I actually have a ton of money laying around... Which will be a while from now. I figure it's like $2000 to at least get it rolling, so I've got a ways to go. Plus 35s would probably happen before that. So maybe in a year or more, I'll start collecting parts slowly :spy:

Yup, that's what she wants and I'm totally with it. We test drove her first choice (JKU Rubicon) and it was just tuned too much for off road. She won't be taking her new truck off road that much (that's what my 1st gen is for). Too bad the 5th gens don't come with a v8. We haven't driven one but I heard the 4.0 has enough power.

Same here, after I get my rear suspension sorted out, I'll be looking into plate bumpers again (hoping I can get my Shrockworks repaired), then dirty-fives and a regear. I'll have to look into a front locker and will see if keeping the factory e-locker will be sufficient. You've probably seen this already right? https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/front-ifs-e-locker-and-8-4-e-locker.438253/ It's making me want to go 35's and a regear instead purchasing front and rear bumpers.

I actually haven't seen that thread, but I'm also rather bias when it comes to lockers. ARB > all :D Only reason is because they work...And they work real good...And there's the fact that the e locker motor needs rebuilding every now and then.

Used to go mountain biking near Georgetown at the Bald Mountain staging area a few miles before you get to Stumpy Meadows. Fun trails for bikes, motorcycles, and ATVs.
