Actually , the 'U' 's in colour , flavour etc , aren't because of the French , it's a carry over from English , like from England . We were / are part of the Commonwealth and in Canada we speak ( and spell ) English ,

    Y'All talk Merican .

Regarding Canadian lakeshore property. You have so damn much water up there and I live in the Midwest(Minnesota) where we brag about having 10,000 lakes. From what I understand, the Crown still "owns" all of the lakes and lakeshore and the outfitters and citizens can only lease the lake shore property on a long term lease basis. Fact or fiction???

    Spring Olympics in BC!!

Curling is a sport where you throw heavy chunks of granite down a sheet of ice and try to get your rock the closet to the center of the rings.

I like our money better to be honest...I don't know how many times I've pulled out a US bill and almost gave the wrong amount because its all green. Now you want funny (but cool) money, goto Austraila. Also colourful, but its also plastic so you can wash it, take it swimming etc. Kinda cool...invented b/c their society is so outdoorsy

Its GREAT b/c its free.....it also sucks because its free. Because its free you get every tom dick and harry goto the hospital to get small stuff like a scratch looked at. Result = long wait times. Also because its gov't run it means salaries are small compared to the US .... so shortage of Dr's. As much as I bash the US, I have a great health care plan with my company and I love the fact I was on a 9month waiting list in Canada to see a specialist + 9 months to get knee surgery...but when I moved to the US I was getting operated on 4 day after I called the specialist.
