Maybe Fords have become more reliable. My friend had a 2013 F150 ext cab 8' bed with 42000mi and had to replace axle seals. He is a home owner hauling mulch and maybe a small JD garden tractor in the bed. Another friend with a 2011 or 2010 ~80000mi that just had the rear end rebuilt and dumped big money into it. He does use his truck more hauling a ~ 12'small landscape trailer that has a ton of pellets on it each year.

Fords, no thanks. You can beat me off the line, but my truck will still be strong, reliable, and have equity in it at 80000mi.

Oh, if you worry about your manhood in regards to what vehicle you drive, you may have a bigger issue

I had a 2003 ext cab Ranger with 160k miles on it with the 4.0L motor. It had plenty of low end torque, a very responsive throttle and never had a single problem with it other than normal wear & tear maintenance. Leaf springs didn't squeak, rear end didn't howl, hood didn't vibrate, etc.

If there is that much maintenance on fords at40k and 80k miles why do these people keep buying fords?

I mean f150 are every where

So these people just like money down the drain ?

My Dad had 2 Rangers in a span of about 15 years, regular maintenance was all they needed and 1 occasionally would flash the TPMS light.

I don't know and you are correct, you do see a good amount of F-150's on the road. Anyway, my buddy with the 80000 still has his. My other buddy got rid of it his and now has a 2015 or 2016 GMC with a 6 banger. He loves the GMC and his family are Ford folks. He tried to talk me into the GMC, but I wanted really wanted the Yota. GMC seems to have flooded the market here in NH with awesome deals/incentives etc... , so we will see on re-sale down the road. Our work trucks are 90% Chevy & GMC and we bring them over 200000mi before we scrap em.

That F150 not only blew your doors off, he got better MPG on the highway in a bigger truck.

Tacos are overpriced for what they are.

Agreed, My dad's 2016 F150 with the ecoboost motor is getting 24mpg average. He's got an 8ft bed.
Heck, his old 2001 F150 V6 that had 220,000 miles on it was averaging 18mpg.
Best I can squeeze out of my truck on a good day, with a tail wind, going down hill is 16mpg

I had something similar happen this weekend. I tried to beat another vehicle into the freeway merger. It was a eco-boost Ford Transit van. It beat me to the merger by at least 2 car lengths.

You act neutered. You definitely don't have the balls to get rid of it.
