IIRC, that 550-? is normally not in there ...maybe a VIP getting serviced?

One of the guys said that they are about 45 mill new, but you can pick up a good used one of about 20-25 mill ... lol

I can get pretty close to most aircraft at PDK and those are iPhone 6s+ pics, so that 550 is really big.

I really liked that unusual shape of that Avanti's fuselage ... it a super cool aircraft up close.

G-II and G-III are being pushed out of Van Nuys because of noise they produce on take off and landing.
It cost more money to maintain her than to repair her.

That's no good, have them send one my way, no noise restrictions at BTR!

The noise restrictions that are forcing old Lears and Gulfstreams out of the skies make me sad :pout: Nothing beats the power of those turbojet engines

It's baffling to me. Those planes become white noise after a while anyway

That depends on who the operator is.... Stage 3 noise abatement for majors.

EDIT: I believe it's talking beyond oporator requirement

While maybe not specific to BTR essentially all aircraft in the US are required to meet stage 1 thru 4 noise abatement.

Gotcha, I'm obviously not aware of the federal noise restrictions but it is my understanding that BTR doesn't have any additional restrictions on aircraft

It's operator based and certain locations have more strict / additional restrictions.

I'm hoping that some of the frequent flyers in this thread can help me out with this one.

I just received a voicemail from Delta regarding my trip from DFW to MXP through JFK saying that the flight was oversold and they were looking for volunteers to fly the day before or after for a $300 voucher.

Both flights are still showing available seats and I have already selected seats for both flights. Am I at any risk of not being able to travel using my scheduled itinerary
