What do you think about this AAL set?

    Howdy -

Suspension noob here, trying to figure out my ride. What do you think of this AAL?

    Some background:
I recently picked up a 2001 Tacoma DC 4wd, and I have noticed that when there is even moderate load in the back (+300lbs) it really changes the ride and wobbles some. I also have an ARB on the front and will soon be installing one of Ethan's stout skid plates. So I was thinking about adding billies on the front and rear with stock coils and the aforementioned AAL in the rear. Probably set everything to .85 or maybe 1.75?

I have read a lot of threads on here about suspension, but I would still love your opinions on this, especially the AAL above. Seems inexpensive, but is it cheap? Also, thoughts on .85 vs 1.75?

I got my AAL through toytec I believe it's the 1.75 and it has been great. Easy install and can definitely haul more without it squatting.

I don't think that adding a cheap lift is going to fix your issue (unsafe/wobbling). It might make it worse. Have an experienced person look closely your rear suspension (and front as well) to diagnose a specific issue.

To clarify - I don't think that there is anything unsafe happening really. I just mean that when I have a load and am traveling high speed, and wobble the steering wheel the rear keeps wobbling for a second afterward. It also rides low with a load. I think that everything is still stock back there, and it has 185k on it.

01Green do you have Bilsteins? If so, what setting?
    thanks

I have bilstein 5100's on the front. I have them set at the highest setting. On the rear I have a Rancho Rs5000's I believe.

Well, that sounds like completely worn out rear shocks.
What happens when you down push hard on either rear corner?

When I got my truck the shocks were totally cooked. I replaced the with Bilstien 5100's and installed an add a leaf in the rear. I added a camper shell and a sleeping platform. About a year and a half after installing the billies I broke a rear shock and a front shot. After that I replaced everything including leaf springs and coils with Old Man Emu. It's been about a year since the replacement and so far so good.

My experience is that I should have just gone with the OME in the 1st place. Sure it costs about 2.5 times the billies and you're replacing everything.
