My 2006 Taco is getting long in the tooth, as far as paint goes. There are dings and dents in various places, so I'm considering doing some body work and a complete re-color from the Silver Streak Mica that you see everywhere.

We have the White Tacoma threads, the Silver Tacoma threads, the Blue Tacoma threads, etc. This thread should for those Tacoma rides that are not your every day stock Toyota colors, whether they're repainted, dipped, wrapped, or whatever. Show us what you got! Getting some ideas from this thread might even influence my color choice!

If you are considering actual repainting (not wrapping), I would recommend keeping the color stock or very close to it, unless you are doing a serious professional strip everything down and gut the truck to repaint kinda job. The reason being dings in the new paint, will show the old paint color underneath, and when you open the hood, gas door, or other unexposed area you see the original color. Which really brings down the quality feel of the truck IMO. I had a friend that painted his yellow car blue, over the years he got a bunch of yellow dings in his car and it looked terrible as the yellow easily stood out on the blue paint. However, silver isn't bad to show through dings as some other colors.

Yeah, I had thought about that...thinking about going back with some darker shade of silver for that very reason, but wanted to see some others too. Vinyl wrap has it's possibilities, as well.
