Yeah, whatever. I concede. You win.

If the definition is clear, then why are we (including you) wasting time debating what it is or isn't? Your last sentence doesn't make sense. Please clarify. It appears you're saying one's opinions are broad and ambiguous because of said person's like or dislike of a sport? How does my like or dislike of a sport affect the ambiguity of my opinions. Those seem like independent variables to me.

Do you just like arguing or did you really get butt hurt somehow?

I think we should have girl mud wrestling in the Olympics! And if we don't have any room for it, then we can always get rid of badminton, to make room!

Now I think we can all agree that this is a real sport. :D

Butthurt, no. I could careless actually.

To be honest, I have no idea why "we" are wasting time debating what is a sport and isn't.

Because no blood is lost, you can hold a beer in one hand and still play, etc. Those are pretty broad and ambiguous. Granted, there is some sarcasm in various responses. This is probably the only time most of us will ever be exposed to curling. We (myself included) have to judge the sport against the sports we are exposed to. Naturally we judge it against football, basketball, baseball, hockey and the like which are all fairly fast paced and violent games. Notice the few people that defended curling as a sport are the only ones that played it.

My statement of every one's opinions was based on what has been posted. Your definition I found disturbing. "If fat people can do it, it's not a sport." (I paraphrased a bit). The definition of sport is not prejudiced. It contains three simple conditions: physical activity, governed rules, and competitiveness.

I watched a few rounds of it last night and found it interesting. I don't think I would follow it if it were a professional sport though. But for me and everyone that hasn't played it to say it isn't a sport is the equivalent of saying "I hate beer or pizza or candy" and never having tried it.

Just because some of you dumbass Yankies don't curl doesn't mean Curling isn't a sport, there are plenty of countries that consider Curling a major sport, now the game was imported into Canada from Scotland and has been around since the 1500's, and is played in many countries including the USA, it's just as much as a sport as Golf is. Just because it isn't physically demanding such as football or baseball.

I would say that it is considered a sport in Canada , where it is very popular , and viewed as a game in the US .

I tend to agree with Toren ^^^ about the apples to apples comparison against other Olympic " sports" though ,

I had a laugh during the Olympics as some of the US media was referring to the Canadian Skip as the "Vancougar",
