Replaced the screws for my license plate lights that came with my new bumper, after just a couple weeks they were rusted and it was driving me nuts. Also plasti dipped the receiver hitch D-Ring and shackle I have in my hitch as it had spots of surface rust on it (this was done more out of boredom than anything).

Tore out the previous owners idea if a quality lift and installed mine. Rears tomorrow, I suppose. The front took alot out of me though. Since there was very little suspension travel, it was a huge bitch to get the coilovers out of their home! Also left the swaybar laying in the shed. I'm a fan so far. Icons really ride like butter now!

Edit: does anyone have the part number for the lower shock bolt?. They'll need replaced when these come out. ;)

Finally got around to changing my transmission oil from Mobil 1 to Redline MT 90.

What a world of difference. I had originally change the oil at about 55K miles, and it became a chore to drive. at 77K now and I couldn't stand it anymore so I did the change. So glad I did it.

Okay. I got a OEM JBL 8" dual voice coil, no factory amp, with plastics off Craigslist. Install needs no explaination.

    IMG_6638.jpg

Found an Boss R110m on letgo cheap. It's mono block, 4ohm stable, adjustable low pass filter, and most importantly, high level inputs.
    IMG_6688.jpg

I tapped the rear speaker wires, red-white on the passenger and black-yellow on the drivers. The grey wire behind the radio is the remote wire to tap. You'll need to wired the sub in series.
    IMG_6691.jpg

Ran power, and ground and hid the wires in the door jams.
    IMG_6692.jpg

I know the amp install is a bit ghetto, but I'll fix that. I've got a plywood cutout made and just need to carpet it. Then I'll re run the homeruns behind the cut out and be all set.

Yes. Front lower coil mount. Previous owner had it backwards. I detroyed the threads on both sides. They're on there now, but won't be reusable.

When I was installing my lift, I torqued the bolt too tight and snapped it, so I ordered two new ones and only used one. If you need the nut too, then you'll just have to go ahead and order it yourself. What I did in the interim was get a bolt from home depot that looked exactly like the toyota part. Worked like a charm. 20160402_133215.jpg
