    I bet you do... I test drove a few when I was in the market for my tundra a couple of months back. I liked them... but then again I'm a Toyota guy.

    My 2008 has been great so far... and many more years to come.

    I'm happy with mine. Updated as much as I was Intrested in. I understand what your saying comparing it to the others in its class...

    2021 is my guess saying as how the 7 year roll Toyota seems to be on for the tundra.

    Yes about 3 weeks ago in Bakersfield. Was stolen in September insurance paid 20k for it hence the new 3rd gen the only thing I dontIke is having a car payment again.

    Why anyone would think >100hp per liter is a good idea is beyond me.

    12 valve Cummins 6BT, 150hp, 5.9 liters, 1100lbs
    1HZ, 129hp, 4.2 liters, ~700lbs
    7.3 powerstroke, 210-275hp, 920lbs

    They will run forever, as hopefully my 2TR-FE will.

    The old cast iron big block gas motors were about as good as gas engines got. Even the vortec big blocks were pretty indestructible as long as you kept oil in them. Same with the MPI Ford 460. And SBCs are pretty great too although since they have gone to direct injection I am suspect.

    High pressure direct injection, high boost turbo gas is a recipe for disaster long term.

    I would buy American if I could still get a real V8 with normal injection and an NV4500, NV5600 or ZF six speed. A 2.7 v6 boosted to the moon with too many gears auto, no thanks.
