I bought from @HeadStrong Off-Road. Best price I could find. Plus terrific customer service.

Also I think I saw you in my neighborhood today.

    so, im looking at this:
    https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/PNB361706N

but I think im gonna take the tire off and check for play in the inner/outer tie rod before I drop the money and may not need to quite yet. I'm not sure if that wet looking boot is an actual leak or just. . .well idk but not a leak haha. I figured if theres no play in the inner or outer rod and the boot looks good with no cracks then there is no sense in getting a new rack yet.

there is a little play in the steering but not too too much (IMO anyway...its a truck...thats been driven offroad hitting large objects periodically)

    thoughts??

I just had to redo mine, hence why I didn't have my truck at Tahuya that one time.

Jack it up, take the tire off, undo the clamps for the inner boot so you can see the inner rod into the rack and move the hub assembly. Mine gushed out fluid and there was movement in the rack itself which caused my steering wheel play. Although I have 150k miles on mine, not sure what you are at.

If you do have to replace it go through CVJ axles in Denver. OEM reman using OEM parts.

I don't have an air tank at this point and since my spare is still up under the vehicle I am not sure where I would put one.

    thanks

im up to about 78k. not sure of the usual life of a rack (im sure it varies) but if you got 150k out of it, i should be good as far as the rack is concerned then.

    still gonna check though

It looks like my truck a bit but not unfortunately.... I'd love to quit my job, sell all my stuff and travel.... however a mortgage and family obligations make it out of the question. Perhaps my next life..
