Thank you for the additional input!

After reviewing these responses and way too many other forums - I think I've settled on the model @smugly built. But I'll do three smaller ones versus the one big one. The 3/4" conduit at Home Cheapo seems like a very nice option for the legs. Quick assembly, light and no nuts & bolts to store (and potentially lose).

With the angle of the bracket - 5' legs (the length of my SB btw - funny how that works out) should be good (1 piece of conduit cut in 1/2).

Nice, thanks for the shout out . What kind of rifles and handguns do you shoot at your targets ?

What rounds are you shooting at yours with. I think If I hit those with my 6.5, it would throw them three feet behind the impact point, lol. I ask, because on my set up. When I hit the little target on the far left of my stand with my 6.5,(now in the center to even out the load) there's about 2100 foot ponds of energy hitting the target and it hits it so hard , that it stands the whole stand up making the two front pipes fall out and the whole stand comes crashing down. You must be pushing your rebar into the ground, but what are you doing to keep it there in the dry weather days?

Rifles - from .17 HMR up to .308/30-06
    Handguns - .22 up to .45

Occasional shotgun slug here & there - but i usually buy expired melons for that.

Decided to just make 2 mobile/portable targets to get me started.

Just ordered the following from Amazon:

    2 of these
    2 of these
    1 of these
    1 of these

Going to HD after work today to pick up:

    2 of these
    1 of these

    Grand Total = $136 + change.

@smugly - The melons are usually really cheap at my local grocery store!

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
I've been pulling my hair out trying to find a range bag... Anyone have any experience with a budget-friendly bag for 2 full size pistols in different calibers, eyes and ears for two shooters, ammo, etc?

I just can't find something that looks "right" in two days of searching

I'm fully aware I'm over thinking this... :frusty: I wish I could find a large partitioned bag with MOLLE on the out side and nothing else. Somehow they manage to charge what a fully fleshed with pre-made pouches bag at the same price. wtf

Any pics of your bag? I think I need inspiration...

Better to ask what I have not done.
Dont know your idea of cheap but my dad and i both have 5.11's range bag. Love them! They are 100$ and i have had mine for. 1year now with 4 pistols, cleaning kit, mags, more mags, clp, 50shotgun shells, 200 45acp, 100 each of 40 and 9mm, 100 223, 100 300blk, and 50 458 socom, not a single sign of stress at the seams or handles.

I like the YKK zippers... This is the Range Ready bag, right? Seems any bag under $100 has shitty Chinese ones and half the reviews talk about falling apart.

Yup the range ready. I have yet to see any problems with it and the main reason why i bought it was its got a hard frame to it, meaning if it was empty it holds its shape. My dad tried one before he got this and unless it was completely full it just kinda collapsed onto its self. This i can take the center bag out and it still stays its shape making it easy to take the bag and other things in and out.

I had kind of ruled 5.11 gear out. I'll reconsider it for sure. Much appreciated, mate!

No more than 15 minutes after placing the Amazon order, I got the "Your items have shipped" email. That's a record for me.

Side note - Amazon just reduced the free shipping threshold from $49 to $35.

I use the first one, and put 6 full size guns in it and everything else. ( It has 6 compartment for guns so they don't hit each other)
