    Hey guys, I was curious if anyone has mounted a 50 inch BD straight light bar on their roof? I have some light bar brackets that bolt into the factory holes underneath the drip molding, but they are two inches short although they are designed for a straight 50 inch light bar. Was curious if anyone had any brackets that they used that worked before I just fab up some extensions on these.

    I (Bailey) won't be there. Baja Designs (BD) will not be having a booth at the event. There is a good chance we will be teaming up with one of our dealers. Will post up more information when I have it.

    How about Overland Expo, assuming BD will be there?

    Bailey, how does the squadron r with the yellow lens cover fit in the fog light location for a '17 4runner? Will it work?

    Will your Squadron Sport lights fit in a Demello bumper and utilize the wiring/switch for the stock fogs they will replace? I was thinking wide corning or driving combo. Will the driving combo be legal for street or will I get flashed?

    How would you compare your xl80's to your xl-r's as far as ability to throw light long distances. I currently have 4 standard xl pros and 2 xl 80's for my front bumper, but now I'm wondering about the racer edition xl pros.

    When you say XL-Rs do you mean the racer editions? Typically the R just stands for a round front face compared to a more square look. I might be wrong but I don't think they offer a racer edition XL pro. The XL racer edition throws out light 40% farther than the XL pros and they're both 40w lights. The XL pros also offers a 20% dimmable feature as well. The XL 80s are almost double the lumens of the XL racers and XL pros sitting at about 9500 lumens and 80w which is where it got its name from XL 80s hopefully this helps

    I am talking about the racers edition and as you stated they do half about half the lumens of the xl80's but with the price being about the same as the xl80's I'd like to see how they compare to the xl80's since they are in the same price range. Don't really care as to how they compare to the xl pros since they are at a higher price point than the pros. I am very familiar with the xl80's and the xl pros and their features as I have a few sets. The racers edition started being offered after the other lights so they weren't an option when I purchased mine and now I'd like to know what benifits I may see from the racers edition when compared to the xl80's

    Bailey will confirm, but I believe the driver and optics of the Racer Edition are better for long distance throw. The XL80s have a bigger driver and optics that are more for near to medium fill instead of range.

    The Squadron-R Sport is a great option for the Demello Bumper! You can buy wiring adapters allowing you to plug the lights into the OEM wiring. We offer them for $14.95/set. The Wide Cornering pattern is considered the most street friendly for a fog light application. Unfortunately the Spot optics in the Driving/Combo does create a hotspot that is distracting to other drivers.

    I used the Squadron Sport Wide Driving/Cornering in my bumper. They're pretty damn bright, and I'd hesitate to go any brighter for something you plan to use on the road. Mine are even angled out a little given the bumper's design, so they don't project quite as much forward light.

    The XL80s are great for nearfield and midfield lighting where the XL Racer is ideal for distance. The XL Racer will throw light 40% further than the XL80. Definitely seems like the Racer is the light for you.

    Awesome. Looks like I'll be swapping out a set of my xl-pros for the racer edition. Thanks

    @Baja Designs

    Am looking to get a aux reverse/dustlight was looking at the S2, but feel it might be overkill for that. So may wait to see if those Sports come out...

    However, looking at Lighting patterns was trying to decide which one go with but not sure if Work/Scene or maybe a Driving/Combo...

    We would you be mounting the light? If down low we recommend Wide Cornering. If it's on a roof rack the Work/Scene is best for a work/reverse light.

    It will be right at the top of the tailgate, I was going to mount another brand of lights on the roof rack, but decided against it.

    So it would essentially be mounted using one of these but on the passenger side of the truck.

    Work/Scene would be great for that location!
