Yeah, surprisingly enough Synchrony Bank didn't even put a hard hit/inquiry on my credit to get the CarCare credit card - perhaps because I already have a few open Synchrony cards w/zero balances? I'll be paying it in full, but I couldn't resist saving the additional $60 by getting a rebate for using their card.

How long does it take to get these ready? More specifically, would they be ready in time to bring to the March meet?

 

Should I paint or plasti dip my grill insert?

I am going to take my grill off and redo the mesh and got to looking at it and the plastidip just looks terrible so I'm getting rid of any and all plastidip and going straight matte paint and being done with it.

 

That is the exact reason I was leaning paint. Do you think I will have a problem with it sticking to the chrome?

 

Just do light coats. Should stick fine.

 

Hit it with some sandpaper.

 

Which grit?

 

Just make sure you clean it really really well if you hit it with sandpaper. I personally wouldn't do that at all as you're not going to be able to sand it consistently all over. The chrome is already consistent and can be painted.

 

That is a good point, there are some tiny spots on this thing...

Go sr5 grill, or plasti dip...both can be changed out easily.

 

I'll check to see what he wants, if anything. I would have swapped with him if I'd known he wanted mine.
