I think I may have to look into this. Would you happen to know what size bolts you were thinking about going with?

Maybe Im over torquing my bolts. The torque spec that I saw was 120 ft/lb. Does that sound right to you?
Its not much but I'm missing about 1.5in of down travel

Dunno off-hand. I have an extra leaf spring bolt at home, was just going to go to HD or Lowes and eyeball it. I thinks it's 14 mm and that is 9/16, although that is for the head, not the shaft (giggity). If I ever do this, I'll report back. Not high on my priority list though.

The factory u-bolt spec is around 50 and it should be around 95ft/lb

    Yup.

Factory says 37 ft.lbf for stock u-bolt nuts. That is WRONG. :D

I was even a victim of dealer tech under-torqued ubolts after getting the TSB leafs put on my truck at about 5K miles. I was driving down the street about a week later and went over some speed bumps and heard loud ass *CLANK*. I did one of those WTF?!? Pull over, take a look, and find my u-bolts about to fall off the truck! Holy crap! Luckily for me I had tools to tighten them up on the spot.

Okay I feel better now. When I had the guys at Deaver put my aal's on I saw them use the air gun to torque them on I was like WTF! I mentioned torquing them and he mumbled something to effect of torque those bitches on! I wasn't comfortable with that but left it alone and havent had a problem. It was nice to stop in there to ask about the aals and leaving 45min later with them installed on a lunch break. So When I get around to doing the U bolt flip and new bumps I'll torque them proper.

Quick question. What air chuck/inflator are you using to air up your tires? I think I read somewhere that you had a problem with the air chuck attaching to your tpms air valves?? Need to order one myself just hoping to avoid mistakenly buying one that doesn't work properly. TIA

I'll show you next time we meet and in mean Time I'll get a few more pics.

Plumbing projects are fun, and terrifying. :D Using the push-to-connect fittings is like an adult version of kids errector set. If you can dream it, you can build it. lol. The way I did it was not the cheapest, but was certainly fun, and highly adaptable.

The OBW was a big hit with the wife. I underestimated it's usefulness. On this weekend's trip we used it a lot for just regular refills on drinking cups and cooking. Never even used our 1-gallon refill jugs.

You're going to love that new compressor! :D

It's the ARB Chris linked too. I really like it with the small mods I did to it.

I should clean up that post...

    Essential parts are:
    Optional:
    • Milton 760 1/4" MNPT V Style High Flow fitting.

Me either. My truck is built for the go fast stuff and 2x so I need an exploring partner lol But I have been out here since 09 and am just in awe at some of the places @Crom has posted about that I know I have driven past and never actually saw.

    Air Conditioning Condensate Drain Extension

I had completely forgotten about this mod. Recently, @DVexile reminded me of it and found my old post from 2014. Thanks Ken!

The mod extends the AC condensate drain hose down and directs it away from the Tacoma frame. It safely drains water out to the dirt or pavement.

From the factory Toyota has it dripping directly on the frame.

My solution was plastic vacuum hose connector, 3/8" ID hose, and zip ties. It works every time the AC is on, and has worked flawlessly since August 2014.

Nice, been wanting to do this for a while now.

Is this the same drain line that wets peoples floor boards?

Awesome. Yeah, I procrastinated for 5 years before I finally did the mod.

The wetting of the floor boards is what happens when the drain tube gets clogged up. Just blow some compressed air in there and it clears it right up. Thankfully, mine has never clogged. It's pretty amazing how much water is collected by the compressor.

So I have all the parts and brought them out to the truck on my last trip but ended up not having time to actually do the mod as simple as it is. Sitting behind the rear seat right now. Hopefully I'll take it out from there and actually install it in less than five years!

How much hose is needed and did you get the coupler at the same place?
