I'll shoot a pic tomorrow when there's some daylight. Sounds pretty much the same.

I ordered a new roof top tent today. This one can fit three adults and two midgets. Oh the fun that can be hadin here now. Went with the more expensive one since it's got diamond plate on the outside of the bottom. So ready to move the one I got. The beast is 78x96 on just the foam pad. Like the one posted below except it has a cover over the ladders for future annex.

Agreed on the recovery gear always check the ratings. Plus don't spend money if you don't have to as there will be plenty of trucks with it. Just concentrate on making sure you have a solid front and rear recovery point.

If anybody tries to snatch me at 15-20 mph, and I survive it, were not going to be friends anymore.

I have an ARB that is popular, I recently bought a (oversized for Tacomas) Bubba Rope on a GB, haven't got to try it out yet. Will be saving it for a REALLY stuck situation I think.

A 3/4-inch D-ring has a working load limit (WLL) of 4.75 tons. It will be stamped on the bow. That translates to 9,500 pounds. Typically the safety margin is at least 5:1. This means that the D-ring will not break until in the neighborhood of 47,000 to 50,000 pounds.
Connect the winch hook to the D-ring on the tree so the open side faces up. This is an extra safety precaution. In the event the hook breaks, it will recoil toward the ground.
A 5/16-inch steel line is rated at an ultimate breaking strength of 9,800 pounds. On a 9,500-pound rated winch, the safety margin is minimal.
By the way, a 5/16-inch synthetic line is stronger (about 15,500 pounds). And a 3/8-inch synthetic rope can easily be substituted—at 19,600 pounds of ultimate breaking strength.
This was taken from 4wheel drive article. And also for snatch straps I read this article and learned a lot about the dynamics of them.
