Lmao with that kind of mentality a used car salesman once told me a lift helps increase mpg due to more airflow  I did not buy their 2007 Tacoma and got a 1st gen.

True that I said your comment was false? I agree.

Adding/removing a swaybar doesn't affect the center of gravity on a light pickup truck. Any truck with a high center of gravity, lifted for instance, will have a higher chance of rolling with or without the introduction of a swaybar. Anti-roll bars were designed to reduce the amount of body-roll felt by driver/passengers to make driving more pleasant, not to increase limit handling of the vehicle. Properly tuning suspension for cornering, gripping (via tires), stiffness, and travel are what factor into limit handling. And if you've ever driven a track-car on the road, you'll know that these vehicles are not pleasant on the road.

Next they'll be saying that we shouldn't lift our trucks because it's a safety hazard.:ballchain:

Sway bars are not made to make the driver and passenger feel better  It's designed for vehicle handling, it's a key part of the suspension. Also if you read what I was referring to the OP has a "stock" 4 cylinder with stock suspension. Why wouldn't that be dangerous of an idea? It would be a different story if he is truck has bigger tires, stiffer springs through the lift and other suspension up grades.

What's next windshield wipers are unnecessary because they add weight and block your view in use?

Too poor to list anything interesting.
I took my sway bar off when I had my stock suspension. It was some of the sketchiest shit I've ever felt. Put them back on until my new front suspension came in.

Exactly on a stock suspension it's scary as shit. It's a different story when you modify the suspension.

No lift? Must be the rubbing, the friction is so great that it keeps you grounded. Granted you try to flip yourself on a regular basis.

A swaybars does not increase the handling limit, but it changes behavior at the limit from rollover to simply sliding.
A quick "double-lane change" maneuver - moving into an adjacent lane then quickly moving back, as if avoiding an obstacle on the road, will do it. Try it first at 30 mph then gradually increase your speed until you get scared. :) The Hilux got on 2 wheels doing this at 35 mph, for reference.

The bolded statement is true. The rest of your statement is somewhat true; although missleading. The sway bar actually helps lower the vehicle as it rolls out while turning sharply. It does this by actively compressing the inside tire that is literally trying to push the vehicle over into a roll. By doing this, it requires more force to roll the vehicle over. And you said it yourself, stiffness is one of the key elements to increasing the limit of handling on a vehicle. And a sway bar effectively doubles the spring rate of the outside wheels while keeping the ride, in a straight line, comfy. Sure you can simply run ungodly stiff springs and no sway but that would be misery. A sway bar accomplishes the task with elegance. The one thing you DO give up is mechanical grip due to the inside tire not having as much traction due to it not having as much force pushing it into the ground. That's where stiffer springs come into play for dedicated track vehicles.

If any of you have ever wondered why some larger/heavy cars can pull incredible G numbers (some close or just over 1G) on the skidpad but don't handle well...this is why. Yet in contrast, a Mazda Miata, one of the best handling vehicles ever made, pulls 0.88G on the skidpad.
For sure. And @Wheelspinner , don't forget to take video of the event and post it here. Inquiring minds want to know.

And did we ever figure out if the OP actually broke a sway bar? That still baffles me...guy comes in and drops 2 posts and leaves. :(

They probably removed the swaybar on the Chevy, as they did with the FJ, and even then it took some effort on the FJ:

The anti-roll bar is still a redundancy for vehicles with such a high center of gravity. By this definition, the OP's truck is better than the modded vehicle for removing the anti-roll bar. Thus, I don't understand why you think lifting a vehicle, softening the spring rate, and adding more accessories would decrease the so-called "need" for an anti-roll bar.

The "sway-bar" from the factory doesn't make the tacoma handle that much better to begin with, what it does do is make it ride like total shit and reduce the composure of properly tuned suspension.
