anyone have the 8 feet bed ?

If so how would you compare the truck unladen on the highway versus the 5/6 feet beds ?

I know the HD domestic trucks suck when they have no load

Wondering how the 8 feet tundra drives

    Thanks

    I think it looks stunning

The crewmax with short bed doesn't look right. Looks like hippo or sumo wrestler

Maybe it the rear wheel placement or something. Not sure, but im not a fan of the long bed.

I like the crew max space

If crewmax came in long bed that's what I would get

Otherwise with the short bed to me it looks like fat sumo wrestler in thongs

I love the double cabs...and thats what my next truck will be. But the crewmax long bed just looks weird IMO.

Tundra double cab = shorter rear doors

Tundra crew max = 4 full size doors

Mine will be front bench with long bed

Here is standard bed double cab [IMG]

I had a 2007 double cab 8' bed Tundra. I was much more of a comfortable ride than a domestic HD truck. 5.7L is a very powerful engine without the fuel economy of the domestic trucks. My truck on the scales after dropping of scrap metal was 6,600# but rode better than my Tacoma. All being said I would recommend a Tundra double cab with a 8' bed just don't try to turn it around on a two lane road or park in a parking structure.

Have you driven a tundra with a standard bed? If so did it drive any different compared to the 8 feet ?

When i get the tundra, pro is going buh bye

That said the tundra crewmax is much bigger so with shorter bed looks worse than DCSB Taco

No doubt Taco Lb looks better

I just think on tundra crew it's more pronounced

I haven't driven one. Rode along in a few. Same/similar ride. Stay away from the 2006 and older tundras if you want a comfortable ride quality IMHO.
