Its not just trucks. When I see steelies with that perimeter hole pattern, it reminds me whats on base model cars hiding under the plastic fake rims/hubcap/wheel covers.

Has anyone actually weighed the factory steelies? I have not, but I actually think they are lighter than the factory alloys.

I haven't been able to locate the stock receiver... I can't even confirm where it would be in my truck if it had one from the factory. It would have been cool if all I needed was a remote...

I know right... if it is like mine it should be a black box under the driver seat. Or you could call your Yota dealership and the parts guy should be able to tell you where to look

I've asked at two different dealers. One guy seemed to know what he was talking about... Toyota wasn't consistent about where they put it in 01 DCs, and the too most common spots are behind the rear seat or under the driver's seat. But they were put in other locations as well. Part of the problem is keyless entry was sometimes a Factory Installed option and sometimes a Dealer Installed option.

Typically I'm with you but a buddy is modding his brothers second gen and they look fucking sexy in white IMO.

And to make this post not BS, started gathering parts for a "Boxrocket" style PVC snorkel.

Mine was under the seat, too.

In fact that truck is my parts truck now. Does anyone want that box?

If I can verify the wiring for it is there I'd be interested. How much do you want for it?

No it wasn't until I had cut the wire - so many people including me now have had great success with it. Like I said the wiring in the truck was good enough to get by, but not that well done - betweeen that and my inexperience with these things I think it's most probable I just did something incorrectly and the box is working fine!

    ahh didn't remember that.

Nice. Should probably do that too as my liner is gone and the tube is just plugged with mud lol having the deck plate mod has been actually helpful in that sense..

Yeah and @jberry813 warned that with the liners open and our wider width, it drives water directly into that tube.
