Ordered the lockers from Ward at Cruiser Brothers. He did me sooooooo right. Great customer service and wonderful human.
Ordered the gears from Ken (ZUK) http://gearinstalls.com who will be installing both the gears and lockers. He saved me a few bucks over the lowest price I could find, and his assembly rate is very fair. I will say I am taking the 3rd members to him.

I asked on IH8MUD where's the best place to get gears\lockers installed within a 2 day drive of Scottsdale, and I had people from all over the country tell me ZUK. Not one single other response.

OK boys. Flagstaff TW. I am snowboarding tomorrow in snowbowl. I can bring up some JALAPENO BACON. The pick up will be at Target as it is my favorite store to stop and take a shit in. I will be there between 8 and 930 am. Will post exact time updates as I drive through Phoenix. If you can't meet at that time then it will have to be latter around 4pm. On my way back. PM me what you want. Need to know soon so I can place the order to pick up this afternoon. Sorry about the short notice but just found out myself.

Anything I should specifically look at when buying a used set of uca's? How does the uniball tie into the upper end of the spindle exactly? Do I need to make sure I get any extra parts other than the ucas themselves? And do I need any special tools to install other than a ball joint press to remove the ball joint? Just have never installed any with the uniball...

Found a deal on some icon ucas I may try and jump on.

Eva= UCA? There is a slug that is pressed into the upper end of the spindle. Make sure it has hardware and check the uniball for play

Yes. You can. Buy a hardware kit from Wheelers, Sierra, or anywhere else. But it's kind of expensive

You can also make one fairly easily

Well for 2nd gens it's a little different. But basically, for 2nd gens, it's a piece of stainless steel with a tapered end that goes into the spindle, and a misalignment spacer that goes into the uniball. You can buy the misalignment spacer, build the tapered end on a lathe. And then simply machine a spacer necessary so that the upper arm doesn't come in contact with the spindle during travel, and bolt it all together.

For 1st gens it's even easier because there isn't a tapered end. You can just machine 2 stainless pucks.
Like this. You can see the slugs there.

They've only got 3k miles on them. By the time I buy them. And then replace the bushings and uniball it'll be more than brand new ones. Plus I would still have to find someone to machine me all the crap to bolt it all up....
