    I would love a roc-n-soc. My kit is green stained wood and is next to impossible to find. I have had it since I was like 14 or 15. It is one of the first things I bought with money from my summer job.

    You need to relocate it with most lifts. That being said ideally you want it parallel to the ground at rest. In order to achieve this with a lift you need extended sway bar links. Otherwise the stock links put the bar in tension effectively pre-loading the sway bar which can give a less than desirable ride quality and effect ifs articulation

    @DoubleRGirl did you relocate yours?

    Scratch that - I guess the Kings and the pelfrey bumper brace stack up and lower the swaybar anyways so no relocation is needed:

    I'll probably order a sway bar relocation kit. They are fairly cheap and it's just peace of mind.

    It's really just to make sure the sway bar doesn't contact the coils. Ideally you'd also get longer links to put the bar back to neutral or just ditch it all together

    Nice! My kits probably a few years newer than yours as I have the YESS mounting system. Great drums at a reasonable price!

    Maybe try taking it off and see what you think. You can always put it back on afterwards if you don't like it.
    Like Seth said the stabilizer bar is supposed to be horizontal and when I first did my lift I didn't do this and I can tell you it feels much better when you do it. Felt like it was getting bound up before the relocate
    John @johnnym might have an extra one. I'm pretty sure he did at one point in time

    wonder if it might be related to the random noise i sometimes hear on the driver side when I turn tight and hit a bump. I have yet to see any indication of rubbing

    How does the sway bar not being horizontal impact the ride on a lifted truck? I get that the links only have so many degrees of articulation and, if maxed out, will bind, or could potentially contact the coilover, but I don't see how it impacts the ride. The sway is just a torsion bar so if both front tires are drooped the same amount, there's no torque on the bar and it should ride the same wouldn't it?

    I have done it a couple times in school.......and then did my own shitty version of it without a screen once. Made shirts for a vball tournament that said "will work for sets"

    You're the engineer. Lol

    Different angle = different amount of torque applied to the bar? :notsure:

    All I know is that it rode better when I did it

    Geometry good sir! On a stock truck your sway bar is at approximately neutral state static, and your links are nearly vertical. Thus the bar is not applying and countering forces to either control arm. When you lift you push the control arms down, which pulls the ends of the sway bar down at a static state. Now the sway is applying a countering force to both control arms as the links are pulling on it so to speak at an angle.

    Replaced my bad idler today. It was the one nearest the alternator. Truck no longer sounds like it has a supercharger.

    I had visions of the thing grenading on me two hours from home. Though now that I pulled it, it really wasn't bad at all. Bet it would have gone another year or more easily.
