    The wheels of warranty claim bureaucracy turn slowly and emit more creaks than my leaf springs. Dealer will be tearing down the rear end this afternoon (so they say) to figure out where all the metal came from and hence what parts need replacing. Best case scenario is I get the truck back Saturday. Dropped by dealer for an update. Found truck sitting in service lot. Not thrilled about that. But it is in process and the cost is covered. So there's that.

    I'm trying to get some better looking mesh for my grille vs the billet I have right now. Anyone know a good place to get some? I'd like to eventually color match the outsides and get black headlights as well to really complete the front look.

    Last update. They opened the rear axle and their inspection revealed that the only damaged component is the driver side bearing, so that is all that is being replaced. I asked about the metal in the fluid and as far as the dealership is concerned there is no damage to any other part. I have another 30k miles left on the warranty, so I'm reasonably comfortable trusting their judgement on this. Inner tie-rods are on the way, truck will be done Friday afternoon. No charge for any of it.
