I have had many dealers do an overnight test drive on a vehicle and that is usually enough time to sit in it for a while and explore the vehicle to decide how much you like or hate the vehicle.

Same. 6'2" 260lbs and my only complaint is the seat is low and can be a bit firm for my liking but oh well. Lots of people complain about these trucks, the only issue I had was the transmission and the TSB fixed it. Not sure how much more I can ask for...

More low end torque and more responsive throttle would be my #1 request. I could think of two or three other things they could address before the seats. Seats are lower on the priority list for me. To each their own of course.

Not overweight I'm 5ft8 and 170 it's the rear bottom of the seat, and sitting in the floor in a hole that gets me; no power seat option to raise it leval with the front..

Meh. It's a mid size truck. I knew what I was getting into when I bought it. If I wanted torque for towing I'd buy a full size but I have my F150 with the 5.0 for that. I bought it because it'll run circles around the Ford when off road.

Well yea but no. The 4.0L has far better low end torque and is much more responsive in previous and alternate applications. Just because it is a midsized doesn't mean they had to make the new 3.5L with 6 speed auto feel gutless on the low end. Throttle and shift mapping is off but now we're getting off topic.

I'm still shocked the limited (or PRO) doesn't offer Power Seats. I'd love to be a fly on the wall for the engineering design discussions on that option.

You're not wrong about the comments you made. But Toyota was forced to improve MPG. I'm sure they didn't want to lose low end torque either. Can't make everyone happy unfortunately. Let's be honest, the mpg in the 4.0 was horrible.

The 3rd gen seats are about the same as the 2nd gen, but the 2nd gen has those "S" shaped springs bottom while the 3rd gen is just a big foam block.

Me 3... drove a 500 mile road trip only stopped for gas.. when I got to the lake, hopped in a boat and unloaded gear... back into boat to go fishing..... I usually have fatigue after that trip. Not in the new Taco.. did it 4 more times same thing... even let my wife drive it a little but it wasn't relaxing enough.

So yeah don't like the drivers seat??, try the passenger seat, that's the seat I didn't like.

You must have really big jewels then..LOL, Everyone is built different and manufacturers can't make everyone happy.
I'm the same height as you and 185. Lower bolster seems fine to me and also have quite a bit of side to side slide on the rear lumbar area. This Taco fits me better than my previous truck, which was made for much larger folks. Half the time, I usually run my knee into the switch panel area getting in, but I can adjust around that.
