For gun guys: any thoughts or experience with a 6.5 grendel?
I'm considering selling a .308 bolt action and building a 6.5 grendel upper.
Similar ballistics to .308 but half the recoil.
Also fits on an AR15 lower, ammo is .25 to $1.00 a round, and has a high bc.

 

Haaaa nope it's already at the powder coater and I ripped off the stock bumper so I need it

He's got the older front end it won't work

 

The Grendel is a pretty cool round but it was designed to shoot at people I believe LOL. More pricey to practice with and a .223 will wreck an intruders day. I bought a 460 Rowland barrel for my Glock 21 but never really use it except when I'm camping because I'm too cheap for the ammo. Just my $.02

 

I put the RTT up Monday about dark (the zipper was jammed up real good had to make a tool to pull it open), and left the tent up all day Tuesday at home to dry out. Drove the GTI to work. When I put it back down in the afternoon it seemed good and dry. No musty stink at all. My RTT is fantastic in the rain. But the whole set it up to dry afterwards can be a pain.

 

Tikka CTR in an XLR Element chassis with folding stock. Witt Machine muzzle brake & AICS 10 round mag. WOuld probably keep the scope and bipod unless a buyer ponies up

I was attracted to 6.5 grendel for it's small frame compatibly, good ballistics and like recoil compared to .308.
