I'm no Ford fan. But I also don't like Subaru. Ford is better though.

    Haha.

Best of luck either way! Get what suits your family best. I hope they hook you up with a good deal on a great vehicle.

Holy crap I hope you get that $26k valuation!!

I will admit there is a part of me, a very...small...part of me, that wishes I'd purchased a Tundra and gotten that giant 5.7L V8, all that power, torque, interior space, etc. But... maybe I'm just compensating... for lack of HP, torque, and interior space...

    I hear that.

I've been given the spousal approval for the Ford, so I'll be calling for insurance quote Monday and also speaking with the payout team and see what they're offering and begin that negotiation.

Once that's finalized I'll be ordering my new truck. Getting a V8, long bed (6.5 ft) and 4x4.

Everything I should have bought last time. Big motor. Big bed. 4x4.

My Tacoma treated me well, but night and day vehicles. This one will be a far better family hauler for a giant human like myself.

It'll be a bummer not having you in a Taco! LoL But I'm betting the big truck and V8 will be welcomed by the family.

Hope all goes smooth with insurance!

Spent most of the day in the garage today. Tore down some wire shelving in anticipation of my upcoming Snugtop. The shelves would have prevented me from backing in. Moved the shelves to a side wall in the garage. Added a couple extra shelves over the dog kennel as well. Reorganized my junk onto the shelves to clear up some floor space. Also posted some old oak dressers on Facebook as "Free". Had them posted for sale and never got any interest. Put them up as "Free" and my Facebook blew up with messages within minutes. Haha!

Now have more room to park my 26" Troy Bilt snow blower. Should make it easier to back the truck in without worrying about backing into the snow blower!

Swept out the garage a bit too. Purchased a garden hose (new house, didn't have a hose in my old apartment). Really need to get the rest of the cardboard boxes off the floor so I can spray down the concrete. Damn dog still won't stop pissing/shitting on the floor in her 5' x 10' kennel. That being said - it was nice and warm today and the pup went outside several times on her own to go play. She's taking interest with the baby trees in my backyard... ugh. Also saw her running up and down the fence 'playing' with the neighbor's dogs. Their dogs bark a bit. My Rottie stays silent. Thank God Rottweiler's aren't known for barking.

Oh yeah. Put another latch on the gate to keep her from eventually realizing she can push her way through the bottom of the gate. It now latches top and bottom. Then I screwed a "Beware of The Dog" sign on the outside of the fence. Eventually my Rottie will be 90-100lbs. Trespasser beware!

    20170209_201437.jpg

Also posted a couple signs in my garage. Found these today at Sportsman's Warehouse for $5 each. Had to have them! Turning the garage into a "Man Cave" I guess.

Did you ever get the URD 02 Sims to work?
I'm wanting to buy the URD headers but not sure if they figured it out yet

No. Honestly my life is generally so busy I haven't even sent the damn thing back.

Hate shit that doesn't work. Gadget told me he couldn't promise they could even make it work.

I pretty much just ignore the CEL since we have no emissions in Montana.

Damn that sucks we don't have emissions here in Oregon either but I feel like the CEL would piss me off

Hey so how come you needed the URD o2 sensor extensions? I'm planing on ordering the URD headers and simulators but wondering if I need that also.

Because I put the URD Spec-U Long Tube headers on. The factory wire wasn't long enough. The front O2 sensors mounted much closer. The Long Tube Headers require removing the front cats too so you'll need to consider that if going long tube. Even Short Tube headers will be much longer than the factory collectors. The factory setup was literally just collectors. There really were no "headers". The three tubes off the exhaust ports dumped into a collector immediately and the cat was welded right to that collector. The bung for the O2 sensor was on there as well. Longer headers pushes that bung down further which means the factory wire running the sensors isn't long enough.

If you do Long Tube headers - please note that the URD O2 Simulator WILL NOT work on your 2015. Removing your front cats will cause a permanent "Check Engine Light".

Got my Airflow Snorkel installed today. This necessitated removal of the K&N CAI. Ironically, Facebook alerted me that it was today exactly 2 years ago that I put the K&N on. How fitting then that it came off on its anniversary.

The truck is now MUCH quieter and more pleasant to drive. I was so used to the overbearing noise of the K&N CAI that I had no idea how quiet this 4.0L V6 is! Skinny pedal doesn't hurt my ears anymore. No more vibration noises. I can hear my exhaust now!

I'm noticing the motor seems to accelerate more smoothly. Granted I've only put a few miles on it so far. But it does feel and sound better - even with the oem factory air box and paper filter reinstalled!

I also had my sway bar completely removed. I am now relying on my OME 886 coil springs for stability. So far so good. I can definitely feel the difference. Although I'm not noticing any substantial body roll in corners I'm noticing the bar is gone. The Go-Kart feel is gone. I can just tell that the front end has movement now.

Also received my retrofit lights from Kustom 54. Opened the box to check them out. Paperwork says they require professional install.

Tomorrow I get the Snugtop mod!! Stoked!

Sweet! Your profile says you have BP-51's? Jelly!

Wish I had the budget to do the King or ADS group buys going right now. But... topper, lights, snorkel... budget gone!
