3rd gen 5100 bilstiens set at 0 with ome 888s, LR UCA, 5160 bilstiens in back with icon 3 leaf aal with 1" block. Fuel savage wheel wrapped in nitto ridge grapplers 285/70/17
Ok, i don't wanna stir up any shit, and I know spacer lifts are frowned on, and aren't the best way to lift your truck.......here it comes........BUT not all people wheel their trucks, some like me just wanna lift to fit bigger tires on it. So with that being said, what is a good spacer lift to use?

You'll need new UCAs for 3" of lift, and those will run you as much (if not more than) the rest of the spacer lift combined. Go with 2" if you're on a budget.

Lifting doesnt clear bigger tires in and of itself. So, the better question here is, what size tires are you wanting to run and are you looking for a wide stance?

if you are trying to lift on a budget, 2/1 would be safe, 3/1 you risk getting shit alignment.

With either, 32s are about as big as you can go, 33s may rub, 34x10.50 may not rub as its a narrow tire. The wider your stance, the more youll likely rub.

If you want quality, go with toytec. Otherwise any off the shelf product will do what you need. Its just solid metal sandwiched between more metal.

Dealers just want to make it "look cool" so they can charge more money for it. Just cause they do it doesn't mean it's good or right.

By the time the front end is lifted 3" or more it changes angles. Not as good for CVs to get above 3" for example. And upgraded UCA's allow for more precise alignments to compensate for the angle changes.

Also, dealers don't care anymore than the jackass customer does.

Had a Ford dealer here try and show me the lifted F150 with the "10 thousand dollar lift on it." Telling them it has new upper control arms isn't going to mean a thing to the dude who wants a dealer lifted truck

Cool dude. Looked like the same $400 piece of shit blocks I saw on Amazon. Maybe those Fuel wheels and tires are the other $9600 of awesome.

If you aren't wheeling and don't hit a pothole then spacers are fine. Price reflects quality of build and name brand just like everything else. Get something mid range.

3rd gen 5100 bilstiens set at 0 with ome 888s, LR UCA, 5160 bilstiens in back with icon 3 leaf aal with 1" block. Fuel savage wheel wrapped in nitto ridge grapplers 285/70/17
Looking to put 285/70-17. My other option I'm looking at is either
    1) 2nd gen bilstein with ome 887, set at .85 which Maria at headstrong said should give approx 3" of lift
    2) 3rd gen bilstein with ome 888 set at 0 for 2.75" of lift
If I did either one of those I'd need 3" block for the back (to keep alittle rake) my back is about 1/2-3/4" higher then front
I just don't want problems with vibrations afterward

In all honesty, do the suspension lift. And get an aal, its about 80-90 which isnt much more than a block. Can use oem u bolts for a single aal.
You can even skip the 888s and run the fronts on the 4th notch or so on factory springs to save cpl hundred bucks.

I put 2 inch spacers and 1 inch block in mine when i got, yeah it rode fine but i scored a deal on some assembled bilsteins with 885, did a deaver aal in the rear. The ride is great, so much better than stock, wish i hadnt wasted the money on blocks/spacers.

Trust me I've been debating on this too long, main reason for thinking about spacer lift was to save money for rims and tires. Stupid huh, lol

If I went with my option 2, I'd need to lift rear 2 3/4 to maintain rake, the hs 3-leaf progressive aal will provide 1 1/2 of lift with overload spring removed and 2" with overload spring left in

Sounds like youve done the research. Again, my vote is suspension lift. Chances are youre going to do it eventually, might as well skip the spacers.
