Strut Spacers??

    In my sig
    I used the search function and could only find information about coil spacers. I'm getting the TSB done as we speak and want to bring the front up a little. I was thinking of a 1-inch strut spacer so I could retain the factory ride. Any thoughts or experience with strut spacers??

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    A "Strut Spacer", also known as "Top Plate" Spacer, causes premature wear on your ball joints, and if taken off road, can cause breakage of parts.

    Hmm..good to know. Well, I don't take or plan on taking my truck off road(that's what the quads are for). The main reason I bought it is to tow my quad trailer. As for the 4wd, it's for the snow. So I guess the question is, as an on-road suspension would it by safe?

    I dont recomend them. Safe? Maybe. Maybe not. If you hit a bump in the road, or a large dip, you could break a shock, and it would ba an expensive tow home. But why do you want to suspend a close to $30k truck with a $10.00 part?

    I think the minimun you can safely get away with on a top plate spacer is 1/4" thick (1/2" lift).

    so would adding a 10 mm top plate spacer on top of OME 885s and OME shocks be bad?? doing the lift this weekend, should i add the spacer or just leave it off:confused: now yall got me worried

    Bilstein 5100's @ 2.0", Wheelers 1.5" AAL, 265/75/16 Firestone Destination AT2's
    The spacers they are talking about are the 2 to 3 inch spacers. You will be fine with the 10mm spacer for your OME setup. I have the ToyTec 1/4" spacer on my truck to fix the taco lean. :thumbsup:
