If you did it again Tacoma or Tundra

I'm trying to decide between the 17 Tacoma and a 15 Tundra.

I would prefer if you answer from experience.

I have drove both. The Tundra wins in comfort, roominess and power.

The Tacoma wins in fuel economy, off road prowess, drive ability, resale

 

How much more worse is the MPG in the Tundra? My 16 gets 16 lol

Depends who you talk to. My buddy has an ~06? limited Tundra. If I could go back in time, I would buy one of those.

 

I have a 14' limited tundra trd off-road, and a 14' trd off-road taco. I like both for different reasons. I prefer the taco though. Today I'm driving the tundra for work and it sure does have tons of power, especially if you hit the tow/haul button. What are your needs OP?

 

We have a '16 Tundra 4x2 regular cab, standard bed at work. We use it for parts errands. IMO it's too big for my taste, primarly parking is always a hassle. The v8 power though is awesome.

I've had an 06 and 09 Tacoma and now have a 12 Tundra... tundra sucks stick with taco

I have a 2013 DCLB TRD Sport Taco and I traded in my 2010 Tundra for it. The Tacoma is a better fit for me. Smaller and easier to park. But I prefer a mid size over the full size.

The Tundra won't fit in my driveway and that's not likely to change.

 

A buddy of mine had a 14 or 15 tundra, the worse mileage I have ever witnessed in a daily driver. He was in the range of 10-12 mpg. But it was loaded model, offroad I believe. That was a stock truck btw. If fuel economy is an issue go with Tacoma, if your a big guy and need room...

 

No Manual in a Tundra, don't want!

 

Drove both, right now the Tacoma still meets my needs. I'll get a Tundra in a few years now that I have my '83 pickup that I'm restoring.

 

Different trucks for different needs. If you need a rig to tow or haul heavy loads, the Tundra is the clear winner. However, if you just need a good solid truck that looks good, will get the job done and hold its value in the process, a 2013-2015 Tacoma is the way to go.
