Haven't had any work done by them. I grew up in the area and I never heard anything bad about them.

    Welcome to the LA thread!

Not much of a bass fisherman, mainly trout and on occasion a Sacremento Perch from Crowley . I also frequent the Sierras with both fly and spinning rod set ups. From the shore, in a boat, float tube, streams, creeks, rivers in down to fish it all

Fishmas is definitely pushed back. I was just in Bishop. Ski lifts in mammoth are easily going to be open past the 4th of July

Ill be up there 1st week of Aug. with the fam. I like Mary, George, and Twin but if they're frozen I stick to Crowley, Convict and all the down to intake2. I heard the owens is actually really good in the snow.

Laurel Lakes and Monache is on the short 4x4/fishing list

Optima is good, but not any better. Life of six to eight years, but charge lasts only a couple days.
Northstar has a guarantee of five years, and usually last 10 to 12. Three to five days of charge, maybe more.
Northstar is same battery as Odyssey, made by some ex-odyssey employees. USA made.

Only downside to Northstar is weight. Typically weigh about 20 to 30% more than an Optima
