Thank you for the advice, I'm not necessarily looking for the cheap way out but more so the quality route. What would you recommend if I'm getting new front and rear shocks?

I was checking out 5100's all around with 885's, Dakaar AAL to begin with. Should I tack some Maxtrac action onto that too?

I would do Maxtrac lift spindles and get coils that are more of a stock height with 5100's up front.

Then Dakars and RCD Extended length Bilstien in the back.

That way you can keep your factory geometry of the suspension up front. And be able to load up the bed with no worries.

And all the shocks will be completely refreshed

If you put 5100's with 885's on there with Maxtrac's you're going to have 7" of lift. Get regular height springs for the 5100's. I would still do an after market spring though. Chad gave some good advice though.

Maxtrac's are something I could mess with at a later time though, yeah? Aside from just fitting in with the crowd, is there anything wrong with an OME or 5100 coilover kit? They seem to be what I need, and I don't plan on surpassing 3 inches of lift anytime soon. (especially since I've got stock wheels/tires.)

 

Not at all. It's a decent lift. It will just save you money in the long run with buying coilovers then having to lower them if you get the maxtrac's later. You can't rebuild the 5100 coilover's either so you're spending more when you could get a cheaper shock and use the maxtrac's for the lift. It'll just look funny for a bit until you get tires. But either way it'll look a little funny.
