I had a buddy modify my Dakar front bumper to add headlight protection. Went from this:

    to this:

Fabrication credit goes to @glorifiedwelder , who also helped my decide on the final design. What's funny; we didn't specifically intend for the hoop lines to perfectly match the lower tube lines, but I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. IMO, an excellent addition to an already outstanding bumper design!

After years of having these bumper, it's finally time to share how great they are.

    Moab 1.0 with Grill Guard

Winch plate replaced with a receiver hitch and a custom cut piece of diamond plate to cover the top.

Rigid DOT approved lights. With a Warn Zeon Platinum 10k winch.

CBI ditch light brackets with attached radio antennas and Rigid Hyperspots.

High clearance Trail Rider 1.0 Rear Bumper.

Love this truck, CBI makes some awesome bumpers!

Dude, I love that! Looks killer. You should do a build thread!

I wish the two hooks on the CBI bumper weren't so damned low. Once a D ring is on they sit so low!

Did you not cut back the frame rail ends prior to installing your bumper?

I just can't gather how yours sticks out so much further than every other moab 1.0 I've seen out there.... And no, I'm not referencing the additional winch mount on there.... Even your ends don't come back and tuck underneath the fender flares...

I'm about to build(diy kit) my moab 1.0 bumper and actually install it to my 3rd gen 4runner, and one thing I wanted to make sure of was installing a bumper that hugs the fascia as much as possible...

I left the frame and corner stock bumper mounts as is so that by chance if I wanted to, which will likely never happen, I could reinstall a factory bumper. Plus, with it being forward, I have more room to access the pin for the front receiver hitch. I used pieces of the factory bumper to cover some of the mounts which made it look better. I will try to find some photos and post them.

Awesome! Thank you for that confirmation!

I'd certainly be interested in seeing what you did, although, I'll definitely be cutting back my frame.

Would you maybe have a side profile pic slightly above bumper line? So higher than this one by CBI?

    Want to see the deck.

Here are some side views of my bumper. I had a piece of diamond plate cut to cover the top and trimmed the factory bumper to cover the side mounts.

I don't know if you would be able to do the same with your year truck but I was able to unbolt and take off the side mounts.

    Unbolt?

    The mounting tabs? Really?

So is yours only secured through the front mounting plate?

We are talking about the side mounting tabs from the original bumper that stuck out right?
