Update: Cbi sent me the wrong style of sliders. I ordered ones with a kickout and these were straight/standard. After some frustrating back and forth emails I finally got the return shipping worked out with them. They then relatively quickly shipped out new sliders with a kickout. However, now I'm at a standstill with the installation since they seem to have fit issues. (I'm encountering obstacles that the instructions do not mention for my 2016 DCLB). I'm nearing the end of day 4 with no response from them whether these sliders were fabricated correct or not.

Interestingly enough, CBI now sells the same model for 2nd and 3rd gen trucks, despite their website not showing it yet. Might account for these holes not lining up? Either way, I was under the impression drilling was required as their website says that, so I paid an arm and a leg to have someone bolt something on for me :) Boo.

It's almost as though they sent me the wrong sliders too. Their website shows two different designs but my invoice says "2nd and 3rd gen" and the mounting plates are the style of what they show as the third gen option. And as you can see one of the bolts doesn't line up well..

Edit: Just saw you said you had fitment issues too. What's going on CBI?

That's interesting you're having fit issues as well. I don't recall seeing any instructions on their website regarding drilling for their bolt-on sliders (that's why I bought them!) My issue was on the passenger side; there's a wiring harness bracket and plastic cover that clearly need to be trimmed/relocated to make the sliders fit.

The 2nd gen versions on their site say some drilling is required, but the ones I got are the 3rd gen specific ones they show (which say no drilling required). I emailed them and it sounds like they are shipping the same model out for 2nd and 3rd gen together now. I wish I could help about the wiring harness.. are you able to unbolt it to pull it back and work around it?

Our solution was move the metal bracket one hole forward. The metal bracket is bolted to the chassis using two M12 bolts. Remove the bolts, move the bracket forward so now the bolt hole bolts into where the front hole was bolted. Tighten and put plastic cover back over. It's a tight fit because of the wire loom going into the cab, but it does work.

Seams like a viable solution. Wish I had some direction earlier from the company regarding this. I also wondered if it was a problem specific to double cab long beds (that's what I have)

They haven't gave me any sliders for free.

Also offered me a job and then hired a girl instead.

My CBI experience has been Meh. I got a fairly nice deal on a scratch and dent rear swing out bumper. No big deal, I thought. Shows up on a pallet. That was good. The bad was that it came with 1) no instructions 2) three large bags of random, unlabeled hardware 3) some wrong hardware (fine thread lug nuts with Coarse thread bolts). 4) some of the holes needed to be bored out. 5) within a month, the latch bolt that Holds the swingout open snapped in half (CBI won’t honor that warrantee). Next time, I’ll probably go with another provider.

    BONE Stock.... I Swear!
I'm in the same boat brother... Ordered Oct 05, and still waiting, had multiple 'promised ship' dates when calling, and then the time will come, no invoice, call again "I don't know why we would have told you that... but.." So yeah, still waiting. They do not respond to inquiry order e-mails, but if you write requesting a product order, they will be back to you that same day... funny how that works. Check my thread for updates on my order as well.

Not sure if anyone has ordered CBI ditch light brackets for 2nd Gen but I did....not sure if it was a fluke but they don't fit. It's not like they are a few microns off. It's like they are made for a completely different vehicle. Anyone??

Lets see whats going on, You shouldn't have any fitment issues with the DLB's. Make sure the box they came in is labeled T2 DLB otherwise post up a picture of what you've got. Also keep in mind that the second gen DLB's mount to the fender not the hood, That seems to be the common issue with fitment.
