Definitely the better route to go than drilling the A-Pillar. I ended up using 3M Double Side tape and it's been holding up fine for a couple years now.

 

I don't plan to install mine.

 

I didn't put mine on until I started using the Engineaire Prefilter because of the wet sloppy-ass snow in the Mid-Atlantic.

Wonder how it will hold up to 75-80 mph? That's a big scoop on there.

 

I do a lot of highway driving so that's important.

 

I never had a problem with the supplied scoop moving around much at highway speed unless I was close to a big truck. Different story with the prefilter.

 

That's only what a 1/4" difference in ride height? Unless you're running a locker on that axle it's not doing to make a difference on a open diff.

 

If you're just buying one it's not too bad.

 

Spare on my truck is still a 245. My unmounted spare is in the driveway and a 285 x 4.

 

Yeah, but you're running the same risk with buying 5 new ones that could be discontinued at anytime as well.

 

So you're running the Terra Grapplers and they have been replaced by the Terra Grappler G2's?

I noticed that the TG is 32.76 and the G2 in a 75 is 33.86. That's only a 1/2" difference in ride height basically. Like I said as a spare it would be fine on a open differential. On my last truck I ran 31x10.50's and my spare was a 235. Didn't matter if I ran a different size because I had a open diff.

 

Guess I'll be in the same boat when tire time comes around. I'm running Terra Grapplers also. Will probably just get the G2's when that time comes. Hell the G3 will probably be out by then.
