There's a meet coming up soon that we can talk trucks. Should be good. It's the annual meet and greet at square one. Check the southern Ontario meet and greet thread. May be a bit far for you but hey we can do one more your way lol.

Im in the same boat. Hell I think I have looked at 100's of rims trying to figure which would be the best setup. As soon as I thought I made up my mind something came up. Steel vs alloy, proper backspacing for the tires I want, will it leave me room for big brakes if I need....goes on and on.

Better to change your mind now instead of after buying stuff.

omg don't even get me started on rim selection haha I think ive looked at every single rim that's available haha I was set on one set for over a year, then one day I looked at it and was like, nah I don't like it anymore lol all I know is I want black rims, no chrome on it at all, I'm kind of leaning towards the scs stealth in matte jet black. I know they aren't exactly original but hey, they fit my criteria and they look nice and clean, not too flashy. they don't look as aggressive as lets say, Fuel rims, but meh. but I'm also a long way from buying rims anyways so who knows, by the time I'm in the position to buy rims new one will be available lol so we will see

I'm at the point where I just want the right spacing and stuff. Don't even care how they look. At this point the scs f5's are the only ones I have found on the market with the spacing I need. The price and stuff sucks though. Oh well will just have to bite the bullet. I really don't want to run spacers.

SCS are on my top list of best looking wheels! But I also habe a crush on wheels with rond holes in like Mickey Thompson Classic III and American Racing Mojave. But
Since I dipped my oem set black and I added 1.25" spacers (no troubles yet) I am really happy with what I have but would like higher tires and a better leaf pack. I am kinda picky in wheels so I just don't want to get in that. Tires bring you where you want to go, no matter wich wheels you have!

I bought my truck with a spacer lift already installed and I would like to get rid of it but as already stated, there is so much options!

My current wheels are 1st gen Tacoma rims. Got 8 of them for $$300. I would run spacers but don't want to risk it with 35's. Just buy once, cry once.

What lift are you planning? I'm running old man emu. Only crappy part about the ome is just knowing what coils to go with. There are better riding lifts, but comes down to what you need.

300$ sounds like a deal! Got my winter set( ugly and dirty for 80$ lol) of course of you want to go big with tire you don't want to mess with bypasses. Get the right wheels for the tire you want for your needs. In my case I wanted a little more wider stance so spacer it was lol. About lift... I want to make a wise choice. I've already screw the thing with the replacement of my rear shocks for some that wont be good enough so have to deal with it. I am looking around for a better leaf pack, want a little more rake (i like it) but don't want to be like 4" higher and look like I skipped leg day lol thinking about Dakars or a set I saw on 4wheelparts Montreal, set is from ARB... says it give 2" lift but didn't ask for more info yet. For the front, I have a 1.5" thick spacer so I guess i am close to 3" higher than stock? I love it like that and would trade for something identical or close. Don't want to mess with uca... thought about getting a set of 5100 bout would like to have the lift from the coils. I also have a 4 cyl so most popular coils are too stiff for me I think... have to search more. No armour or anything in the futur... and if it happens I'll deal with the drop lol but I really don't think I'll have a plate bumper, no need. And then for tires... I am close to be set on 255's... but there is not a lot of choices... summer set is 265/70/16 and don't want to go larger. Want higher and 265/75 is not enough... I keep looking! Don't want to kill my "good" mpg but it will surely happen

Lol well I may be able to help with some pictures. I'm a dclb and I have armour so it's a tad different.

The dakars are sweet. I love them. I am running them with a overload now but at the beginning I wasn't. For tires I am running the 255's cooper st max. Been very happy with this agresive all terrain.

This is right after I got everything installed with 265's on stock alloys. I don't have anything upfront. Just the crush bar.

    With the bumper installed.

    And then with 255's

This is when I did the overload
    Before
    After

The billies are a great option too. I just didn't want to preload coils with all the weight I have.

Thanks for the pics! how much lift is the ome giving to you? do you have mesurements? From hub to fender in the front I am at 22"3/4 and rear 23"3/4. With the shell I may keep the overload if I go with dakars, but I am still thinking about it. If I go with billies I would set them a 0 and get the lifts from longer coils. Also where did you get your lift from? is there a Canadian distributor or you got it directly from the us? can you tell me how much I can expect for a set of dakars? I'm not in a hurry to pull the trigger on parts but always thinking about it and want to take wise decisions lol

I don't have measurements off hand. But I think it was around 3 inches total. Maybe 2.5 up front and 3 for sure in the back. I was running the dakars with out the extra overload lead (it's an add a leaf for the pack-dx29l or something). With the cap and all the stuff I carry I needed it. Without the cap and weight it still rides great.

hahaha yeh there too many options out there and I am also picky when it comes to rims, I try not to look at them too often, a little here and a little there so I don't get over whelmed lol like I said before I have other thing I would like to get before rims anyways, and you are correct, I think any rim would look half decent wrapped in some nice looking tires haha
