Looking for a ground inside the cab where is a good one at. I have found that the bolt on the e brake doesn't make a good ground. thanks in advance

What are you going to connect to the ground?

There is a decent spot just under the fuse panel that has a screw that can be used for grounding something. You can access it from under the dash.

    Which generation truck?

3rd gens have grounding bolt under the drivers kick panel. Also easy enough to drill a hole into the OBD2 bracket and use a self tapping (aka sheet metal) screw.
