I've seen those before on Lee Valley IIRC , look like a good solution for miters

 

I picked up a set to play with, really nice little glue grab it with that, let the glue set and hit it with the nailer. It frees up you hand to get those tiny peices just right

 

Yeah...that will help with that span...2x6 tng? Is it 1 1/2 thick? If so...did you buy the router tool to make the tongue and groove?

That style of roof is common to log homes.

As much as you irritate me, I do enjoy your build threads.

Looking forward to the mechanical of the build. A an owner of several in floor heat systems, I'm always looking forward to new improvements in the technology. I'm expecting to learn some new things.

Clear coated and visible . Iso board unvented roof assembly goes on top of the decking

This type of look but the roof is only 2/12 and sloping in only one direction

Yup that's what I thought...so do you put foam on top of that? For your r- value

 

I like the look. My parents built a cabin with a similar roof design.

Haven't worked with it....but I can imagine what it does.

 

It's standard insulation for commercial roofs here.

 

Its a foam board that provides the r value , so the roof assembly from underside to top is ;

Glu lam rafters
2x6 Fir t&g decking
1/2" plywood
Peel & stick
Polyiso board
1/2" plywood
Peel & stick
Metal roofing

 

So it's a roofing system....makes sense.
