    I never have understood that shit. I am on my second Macbook in almost 11 years and have had little to no issues with them. In that same time i have also owned 2 PCs and together they lasted maybe a total of 4 years, maybe.

    Well, I just passed my seven year old HP laptop on to my wife after I bought another HP (the battery only lasts an hour though). I normally build my desktops and they last until I get tired of them. My Linux netbook server ran 24/7 for almost seven years before replacing it late last year.

    I think it depends on how you treat them as much as the quality of the equipment you buy.
