I haven't spent that little on a bike in years. The bike in post 503 page 26 I posted was $12K.

Not sure what part of AZ you're moving too, I'm up north in Flagstaff and I use Flagstaff Bike Revolution for all my biking needs, they'll hook you up for sure.

I am looking to get back into the MTN game, had one, then sold it as I never had the time to ride, now that I have the truck I am wanting to get back into it.

I had rode a 29" before and loved it, but with me being 6'3", I am not sure what type of frame to go with. Was thinking a hardtail, but I am on the 250lbs plus side.

Was looking at Diamonback bikes as I can get a pretty good price on a new one so was looking at a Diamondback Overdrive...

    Any input helps!

Buy something you can afford that will get you on the trails NOW and give it hell. You can always upgrade brakes etc. as you get more into it.

Full suspension is great, but if you have a limited budget there are a ton of hardtails that will be great for starting out. I've had good luck at local bike shops this time of year picking up last years models. I've been looking for a hardtail myself but stores around here just don't have a lot of them to choose when it comes to hardtails.

    I appreciate the input!

Yea, I am going to go to my local TREK dealer and see what they have and see if they have any 2016 models they are wanting to clear out. I am just wanting something that will get me on the trails and active more. Loved riding before, but has been so long.

I'll second the Nimble 9. I have a lot of bikes and it's my favorite.

Its not hard plus if you use the lockable fork mounts your bike is secured. I still run a cable thru the rear tires attached to the corner bed mounts that are located on the floor near the tailgate. I also run the front tires thru the cable sitting next to the bikes. I grew tired of running lockable cables thru the bikes on my hitch mount to secure them. The bikes always had rub points on those hitch racks and I spent lots of time getting the bikes mounted just right as not get damage from rubbing on each other. Fork mounts take less time and Im secured in no time flat. And I can keep my frame bags on the bikes.

If it's been a while since you have ridden then get ready, bikes have made huge improvements over the last 5 years. You will be surprised when you really start looking at them.

September with my North Shore NSR 4-Bike mounted. Green Ibis HD3 on the left was mine.

Earlier this morning with Cedar, my trail dog & updates to the truck. Still have the NSR4, just not installed ATM.

It was raining that day so must've been an illusion. Thanks for the props - Is it your first Yeti? They're such beautiful bikes, you'll love it!

Went and looked at mountain bikes yesterday and tried out a couple... I think I found the one I want to get...

TREK XCaliber 8 with a 23 inch hardtail frame and 29" tubeless tires in a sweet matte red!
