I know they did it (restrictor plates) for safety, but so starts the measures to "dummy down" the drivers and actually make it more hazardous for the drivers by bunching them up. It would be much better for the crew chiefs and engineers to find a solution to keeping the cars on the ground and provide for a better race. Ever since the restrictor plate, there has always been the bet on when the "big one" would happen and bigger crashes with more cars has become the norm.
