What does that have to do with anything? I bet you feel like Sherlock Holmes, huh? You found something I said that has absolutely nothing to do with the Convo at hand and somehow tried to apply it to my comment.

The comment you quoted from me from months ago, is true. There is no regurgitation of incorrect info. I'm sure Toyota would love to solve your vehicle problems via Facebook/Twitter/IG.........dafuq, seriously?

Your unfounded blanket generalization is no different.

Don't let me keep you from creepin, though.

@tcBob knows how Toyota treats social media, and it isn't what you perceive to be true, or have regurgitated elsewhere.

So when I had a complaint with a Toyota (an FJ) and made an inquiry on Facebook, via private message, guess what their response was? Yep....Contact customer care at such and such number. But you totally burned me, you caught me.

I'm ecstatic that tcbob knows how Toyota treats social media, that still has nothing to do with my previous post nor does it have anything to do with the conversation at hand. Some of guys on this forum like to stir up s shit just for the sake of smelling shit. It's very odd, this forum is.

And for the record, regurgitation not found. I can find more if you want? It only takes a few minutes to find tons of these

$40k is the cap cost, not what he paid for the lease

Yeah he didnt pay 40k. Leasing is the easiest way to get into a vehicle you cant afford because the payments are lower. Seems OP could afford the truck though with a 10k down payment which was the wrong thing to do. If he was putting that much down he should have just bought the vehicle and made payments.

To the OPs original question, you can pry get a loan for the vehicle and sell it for 34-35k. You'll lose money but not as much as trying to turn it into a dealer.

Or maybe it is a credit issue. Not sure here as OP put a good chunk down, but a friend of mine leased bc she couldn't finance to buy due to that

As of last Thursday, I was 1 year into a 3 year lease and, like you, absolutely hate, hate, hated driving it after a few months. I've owned 5 Tacomas in my life and have loved every one of them. The 2016 on the other hand was the worst handling, worst steering, worst braking vehicle I've ever owned. The weak engine/transmission combination was a horrible choice by Toyota. My wife, after driving it once, refused to drive it again.

Traded it in on a 17 Subaru Outback. They bought it outright and I took a $3000 hit, but with 0% interest on the Subaru and a $1500 downpayment, I barely felt the difference. It was worth the loss to me to be rid of it.

Wow tell us how you really feel. I think you're the first I have heard complain about the steering and braking, some have complained about the handling. What did you have for a taco? All I can tell is you have one of the TRDs

Toyota should scrap this and start over.I'm waiting to see what happens with the 2018 models. They could keep this overpriced turkey going for another 10 years.
