I have a 05 Tacoma that I am looking to get a Old Man Emu 3 inch suspension lift done. The shop won't let me drive off on the original tires so I am wondering what is the biggest tire you can put on with a 17 inch rim without cutting or trimming. Pics are appreciated!

We have to let him slide this time, only because he has the same name as me.

But isn't 265/70/16 the stock tire size?

265/70/17 is an inch taller than stock. It's the equivalent to 265/75/16.

Why won't the shop let you drive it with the stock tires?
