What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Installed a G2 Bakflip yesterday. Love being able to lock stuff in the bed already.

 

But it's not a V8.

 

The T-slot nuts for the gas can mount I made yesterday just came in so I test fit everything. We're going to Baja in a couple of weeks so I wanted to make sure all of the crap we're planning on bringing, as well as our new cooler, would fit.

 

Got smoked in the left rear tire by some fool in a roundabout. He pit maneuvered me and I spun out. My general grabber AT2 tire absorbed all the shock and for the most part protected the rim with just a minor scratch. Meanwhile it absolutely destroyed his front end. The photo of both vehicles shows how they stopped. I couldn't believe I had only a scratched wheel and scuffed tire!!! Put it up on the hoist today and measured everything it's all straight no wobbles. Roundabouts suck when you have morons chain-smoking and eating fast food in them. Grrr

 

Is that black with dark grey? Does the grey match the interior bezels, door panel inserts?

Thanks! At least roundabouts lead to glancing blows at low speed so honestly it only felt like a thud. I couldn't believe the guy actually hit me.

 

Also glad you are ok. If that is Oshkosh, I grew up just a few miles from there. I know what it is like driving on those roads in the winter, especially with people who don't pay attention. Are you a pilot? If so, TW has a great thread you might be interested in.
